Speaking| Workshops| Keynotes

You've experienced it before... sitting in a workshop where the presenter is monotone, has a novel on each slide, and seems to forget actual humans are sitting in the same room.

If you're going to spend your limited time or company's money on a presentation, you want it to be fun, and memorable... all while being educational. The best way to do that? Hire someone that’s dynamic and personable, with over two decades of public speaking experience and a passion for all things mindset, mindfulness, and mental health.

That's where I come in!

I’m Vanessa De Jesus Guzman, a speaker, educator of 18 years, and licensed professional counselor. I’m here to shed light on topics that are worth speaking about, whether it’s children, education, parenting, mental health, mindfulness, or well-being. My goal is to create presentations that use theories and applications as a tool to keep both in-person and virtual audiences not only present but also engaged.

All presentations and workshops are tailored and designed with the purpose to have participants LEARN through targeted education, GROW with tools for change, and leave INSPIRED to immediately implement strategies.

Awards

Bergen County K-8 Counselor of the Year 2012

Bergen County School Counselor Association (BCSCA) presents one K-8 counselor with a K-8 School Counselor of the Year award each year.  Submissions for this award are chosen from students who independently nominate their school counselor.  In 2012 I was chosen as the recipient of this award out of a pool of qualified nominees. The award was presented at the BCSCA 2012 awards dinner.

The College of New Jersey's
School Counselor of the Year Award 2009

The College of New Jersey presents one graduate with the School Counselor of the Year Award every year.  The recipient of the award is chosen by TCNJ's Counselor Education faculty.  I was honored to be presented with this award on the same evening as being inducted into Chi Iota Sigma International Honor Society for Counseling Professionals.
